Allicin, naturally derived from Garlic, fed in low concentrations has been found in US research on Horn Fly, to decrese external insect populations in livestock by up to 20%. Garlic rich in the sulphur-containing compound Allicin which subsequently breaks down to a range of volatile sulphur-containing compounds. (Durunna & Lardner, 2021).
Molasses "attractants" have NOT been used in the blend minimising the risk of unintended outcomes (such as inadvertantly increasing parasite loads). In addition to the 8% S inclusion rate, Garlic is a sulphur source itself as well as acting as an attractant for animals allowing protein meal to be minimised.
*BOS LIK NOP may be eligable as an allowable NOP input as a parasite management measure (rather than a supplement). Contact your certifying body for clarification prior to use and update your OMP.
